We're picking up right where we left off from episode one. If you have not checked that out, we encourage you to listen to that one first. But we are going to start with talking about this concept that Jenna mentioned at the end of last episode around I don't want to be in a place that holds my cycles, and I just want to talk about this more and understand what you're talking about and dive into it so go.
Jenna 1:23
So this kind of came up around relationship with with my family, and then also with environment in terms of, like work. So I was thinking like, I don't want to be in a place that perpetuates my bullshit or that continues to activate me in the same way, without me doing something differently. And it's not about staying in them, to expand within them. I think it's more about like, what if the lesson is choosing to choose me, choosing to choose a different environment, in this case, work or choosing to choose me within the terms of like my family, right? It's about wanting to be in a space that calls those things forward and allows me to optimize either with them or without them, but doesn't perpetuate them. I don't know if this makes sense.
Laura 2:22
interesting, because when I think of I think of this from two different sides. When we're talking about perpetuating them, I think about you being in an environment where your your cycles and patterns are enabled. And I also think about being in a situation where the patterns and cycles are perpetuated because you're continually being reactivated by the people or the environment in which you're in. So it's like I can, I can decide to not be in a situation that continues to set me off over and over again. And I can also choose to not be in a situation where people aren't calling me out on my shit. So which one are you referring to?
Jenna 3:06
Both, but at the same time, what's coming up for me when you're saying this is responsibility, because I don't want to not take responsibility for my own shit either by like, just removing myself entirely. That's not what I'm wanting to do, because I want to be able to be able to take the responsibility for it. I just it's making me think of this thing that I read the other day where it was like, You will never have true peace in a space that you're not. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was like you're not meant to be in, which kind of goes in with what we were talking about in the last episode. And I don't know how much I believe that or not, because peace is something that you can access, right? Yeah, like from a frequency standpoint, but it also makes sense in a way, in terms of resonance.
Laura 3:52
It does this is what I'm noticing, and I think this is a perfect conversation to have with the topic of our whole podcast, being divinely grounded, right? Because we do want to nourish and nurture ourselves in environments that foster the resonance that we are meant to embody, and so we want to make those choices, but I think that it's seasonal, because I think that we are we are obviously not going to be hiding from any triggers or activations in this world, nor do we want to, because we're meant to be here in exchange with other people. But I think that it's like we we kind of lean back in certain seasons. And these seasons can be a day, they can be five minutes, and they can be three months, right where we decide to be in this space where we really cultivate and get this clarity and this fortification on who we are, and then when we re enter these experiences where people might set us off, they might still be acting they're like they're Dicky selves, right? And we're back in this space, but now I'm in a resonance where I'm not going to be as rocked, and I'm going to be able to witness what's coming forward. In a space of higher consciousness, quicker and with greater discernment and honestly, greater grace and greater empathy and without blame or judgment, and being able to be like, okay, like, I'm witnessing what this is, and it, it doesn't have any impact on who I am. And so I think that there are periods of time, especially when we're talking about, like, if we've had a history of trauma or, you know, significant nervous system dysregulation, we do need space and time to be able to come into feeling our own edges right and feeling our own energy, and tasting our own essence and knowing our own texture, so that then when we enter situations again or new ones. We're very, very clear on what is us and what is not us, and what we're taking on that is not ours to take on.
Jenna 5:52
I like that, and this kind of this clarified it for me quite a bit in terms of me saying I don't want to be in a space that, quote, unquote holds in my cycles. It's a lot about resonance, and then the transmutation of said cycles.
Laura 6:04
So do you mean too, that you would then go, not put yourself in a place that does not resonate?
Jenna 6:12
Yes. I mean, that would be the goal, would it not?
Laura 6:16
I think so, yes, but it's interesting too, because I think this calls for this concept of, like, define resonance. And this goes to what we were talking about in the first episode around you know what you're being called to, and like your truth, and clearly delineating that but and letting Spirit lead you. Because, for instance, I'm getting on a call tonight that you know that that is like political debate and political conversation. I This is not something I engage in at all. And so is this in resonance for me? Hell no. Is it? Is it a place where I was guided very, very strongly and clearly, yes, this may be a dip your toe in experience, like we talked about in episode one, right? We shall see. We shall see. So it's like sometimes, yes. And what did I say to you about this? I said I'm putting myself in this space as well, not only because I'm led there, but because I know for damn sure that it is going to expand my capacity. It is going to expand my consciousness, right? My my vision of humanity, my presence with humanity, my consciousness around humanity itself. And so it's, it's interesting, because I think that people can use that idea of not going into a space that doesn't resonate as a bypassing statement as well, well that doesn't resonate. So I'm not doing that well that well, that doesn't resonate, so I'm not saying, and it can honestly be a little bit of an entitled thing, absolutely, yeah, because it can just be like, well, that doesn't, I don't vibe with that, so I'm not going to do that, and it's like that, but you are also meant to expose yourself to, like, the places that you're being led, and not make excuses around well, that doesn't resonate, because you're not comfortable expanding.
Jenna 8:04
I completely agree with that. And I think that there's also a flip side of that, where it's like, you can say that I want to stay in something because I still need to get something out of it. Like, I'm still trying to, you know, extract, extract, extract. And so I think that there's a flip side of it where it's like, okay, I want to, I'm more resonant in XYZ space, but I'm going to lean into the fact that I still feel like there's something that I need out of this first, right?
Laura 8:32
I that a lot.
Jenna 8:35
So there's two totally different sides to this coin that people can slip into.
Laura 8:39
because that also says too, which is accurate, because it's energy resonance is always shifting so, so it's like, I look back at, like, my relationship with my older sister, who has been estranged from the family for, what, 16 years at this point. And it's like, I look at the cycles that I went through with that, right? And it was like, okay, kept going back into I kept going back, I kept going back, I kept going back. And that's when people say, like, Why do I keep going back into situations that are smacking me in the face that are not like, How many times do I have to learn this fucking lesson, right? And it's like, your resonance is different. When you go into there's still something for you to extract from that. And you know, that's the discernment we talked about in episode one around Okay, am I going back into that because of a nervous system response, or am I going back into that because I'm being led back into that because there is something that I am meant to receive, that I am meant to more deeply embody and integrate and use to help clarify my truth?
Jenna 9:38
Yeah. And then there's deeper discernment in that when you do decide, say, Okay, now, now I'm going to move out of that space, or now I'm going to or your resonance shift.
Laura 9:51
yes, and I think that it's funny, there's a lot of coaches out there who will say that it's a bypassing of your human to be like. Well, you know, I kept getting led back and in divine timing, and I'm following the divine lead, and all of this where, really, you just need to decide, I'm not up for this bullshit, and I'm moving on.
Jenna 10:08
It's a fine line.
Laura 10:10
There is a fine line.
Jenna 10:12
Yeah, I think it's a fine line. And it's, it's up to, again, your discernment and your intuition. And again, from that first episode, it's like your intuition is not going to be egoic in that it's not going to try and convince you of something, it is going to be an intuitive hit. And then what comes after that is either your nervous system being an asshole and activating the hell out of you, or your subconscious trying to keep you small.
Laura 10:36
I like that too, because it's when we make those decisions or we recognize the truth, the subconscious and the mind and the nervous system can get louder, and then we think that it's a I'm going the wrong direction, exactly and accurate, right? Yeah, it's fear, yeah. And I think that you're right. It's up to and it's up to each person to decide whether this is the time for me to just say, Nope, I'm done with this moving on. And this is the piece that I want to share trust that that claim is going to get clearer and bolder and quicker as you continue to grow. And this is where I just want to take a moment to bring in this concept of forgiveness of yourself and of previous versions of yourself and previous decisions you've made, or previous actions you've taken that you felt like I was sabotaging myself, or I was kept putting myself back into something that was hurting me. And you know what? That doesn't mean it was wrong. Because, again, growth is not comfortable all the time, but it will become more comfortable as your discernment sharpens.
Jenna 11:41
Absolutely, absolutely, and it's making me think of what your friend Ana had said in that post. It was a making your past actions wrong while standing in a much higher level of awareness now is cruelty and a form of self harm. So absolutely, it's about forgiveness and forgiving yourself, because you can be in a totally different space now and looking back and thinking you made the wrong choice, or you were hurting somebody, when it has nothing to do with with you, hurting anybody at all, and then be grateful like look at where you are now, to be able to see that, to be able to see where you were, and trust and know that what you did then was to protect You in that space that you made the best choice for you in that space.
Laura 12:24
yeah, and honoring and revering that it was. It's all like they're all delicious ingredients into the awareness you now have and to the space you sit now listening to this conversation, deciding to forgive yourself, making a decision to be done with a cycle, right? And if you're listening to this right now, and you're thinking, I just really think I'm done with this cycle, but I'm still going back and forth, and I don't know how to get out of it. And it's it's coming into presence with that internal battle. And we gave you some tips and tools to use for that in episode one, but it's like, yeah, like be, just be in space with the duality that's really existing within you, because it's really two different fractals of yourself that you're fighting with around. Which one do I want to become? Which Which one of these do I want to become? Which 1am I deciding to commit to? And you're a little afraid, you're a little afraid to commit to the one, because it's like, I don't know is that the bold ass bitch way? Because I don't know if I want to be a bold ass bitch, right? And there's obviously associations there that's like, Okay, well, if I'm going to be a bold ass bitch, then I'm going to choose that. But then what does that make me? What does that mean? You know what I mean? And so I think that it's important to just be in presence with that little fencing match that's going on within your heart, space that you can feel inside of you between these two little aspects of yourself.
Jenna 13:43
I like thinking of it as a fencing match. The image that came in that's amazing. I mean, what came up for me, and that was the truth is, you know, you'll never make the wrong choice, because you've lived both already. But don't stay still. And, I mean, yeah, you can there's, there are lessons that can be received in stillness. And there is, like you have said recently, there is momentum in stillness.
Laura 14:10
Oh, I love that so much. Perfect way of rounding this out, right? It's like, you can't go wrong, but don't stay still. Yeah? Because if you're in motion, and like you said, Even that can happen in stillness. If you're in motion and you're in in touch and connected to that energetic momentum that exists within your soul, which could be guiding you into stillness right now, right? Your energy is always moving, and as you're in relationship with it, in presence with it. You're going to move and it is going to progress. You. You're always in progression that felt expansive. Thank you. Yeah. All right, everybody, thank you for joining us for Episode Two, and we will see you very, very soon.
