Why I'm Compelled To Do This Work

I was a successful therapist in New York for almost 20 years. I adored my job and clients, and had a waiting list for five years! Why would I leave? I made an amazing name for myself and was guiding people through some of their darkest times.

However, I leaned back because of the signals from the Universe, the consistent knocks on my door I couldn’t fully understand. I would listen to some, but not deeply enough. I kept taking time off to attend to my parents as they both received cancer diagnoses. I cut back my hours significantly to have more time with my 3 kids. I spent a month in hospice with my father before he passed.

But I was still preoccupied. I was preoccupied with my business and how it was thriving. And then I realized…it had become my identity, my primary source of pride and self-security. Despite the close relationships with my family and the joy I felt in my life, I was hiding a deep sense of unworthiness behind my success as a therapist.

The Universe wanted more of me, but I wasn’t sure yet.

THEN, IN AUGUST 2016, I BECAME SERIOUSLY ILL WITH SEPSIS. DANGEROUSLY ILL.

After being dizzy and weak for over a year, along with loss of cognitive functioning, my neurologist informed me I would continue to decompensate. For the first time in my people-pleasing, rule-following life, I disagreed.

I just didn’t see that as my future. I knew it wasn’t true. I didn’t know why or how I knew but I confidently knew. This was my intuition speaking, and it was LOUD. I started meditating, working with energy healers, and meeting with naturopaths and functional medicine doctors.

And I got better, little by little. The progress I have made on my journey of self-healing is leagues beyond where I was told I would be. The beautiful thing is that all of us have this ability within us! We are infinite Beings, infused with universal love and a consciousness that can transcend anything that manifests in this human life.

I’ve tried several modalities over the past few years and have narrowed down the most potent spiritual technology for efficient healing:

7. Inner Child Work - Opening your field to the wonder, play, and deep-seated wounds that desire to come forward for empowerment.
