I'm so excited to be here. This has been a long time coming, doing a podcast with Jenna, and we chose divinely grounded because both of us are deeply devoted to the concept of embodiment, and embodiment is really about bringing all this spiritual mumbo jumbo into human form, into real world, issues real time, emotions and reactions that come forward. And she and I are amazing at bringing these things to a space of higher consciousness quickly, and refining them quickly, and having sharpened discernment on a daily basis from this space of higher consciousness, and both of us remind each other to come back to this concept that everything is energy, and that our bodies are energy, and that our reactions are energy, and all of it is here to inform us. So we're always bringing ourselves to an elevated perspective as we come together with what presents in our lives. So I know that your mantra for this year, Jenna said this pretty well. So can you share that and kind of explain a little bit about what that means?
Jenna 2:18
I like that. I was just about to go there too. My mantra for this year that we did with your New Year's like live that you did plug, shameless plug was my embodiment. Is the conscious driver. That mantra came forward pretty readily with with wanting to remain grounded, which goes very well with with what we're saying here and what we're doing here. It's just about not getting yourself, it's not letting yourself get lost, you know, get lost in the human sauce, so to speak, staying from that higher perspective, being able to witness all of yourself and staying within yourself at the same time, not getting carried away with with narrative, with fixation, with anything like that. It's very much a presence,
Laura 3:14
yeah, and I think it's also not getting lost in the spiritual world as well. You know? It's funny, because, like, I think you and I come from different perspectives here, or different, I guess, directions where you were focused more on the embodiment, and I was focused more on the consciousness. Because, like, I had actualized the embodiment, you would actualize the consciousness piece. And it was like, Okay, we're kind of inviting each other into these different textures of it when we first started connecting around this. And so I think that being able to bring a divine perspective into a daily experience is something that people don't fully get, and that's why we're going to be talking about some of these concepts that are real time issues that come forward and might activate the fuck out of us, but our invitations to look at things from a higher perspective. So is there anything that has come up for you recently that you feel has activated you or set you off.
Jenna 4:24
Well, okay, when I think about this concept of how much time do we spend convincing ourselves that where we are is where we're meant to be, I get very in my head with that. When it comes to concrete stuff like work, that activates me, in a sense, because it makes me itchy, like I want to be doing something else, because I feel like I'm I'm not doing everything I could be. Or I'm receiving these intuitive hits of like I should be doing or not I don't like using should, but it's like I I'm getting these intuitive hits of do this, do this, do this. And it's persistent and it's consistent. So I get in this space that makes me stop and then say that mantra of being embodied and being present with where I am, so that I'm not in this space of go do something else, go do something else, go do something else.
Laura 5:13
I love that example, because that's exactly what it feels like. Is this we're meant to be present and grateful and really soaking in the vibes of the present moment at the same time that we can clearly feel where we're being drawn and it's not being attached to that, still being present with the desire that comes forward within that and the knowing that comes forward within that, without feeling the need to rush, without feeling the need to make any decision other than I'm here now and I am deciding to move with the clarity that continues to arrive as I come into present space with myself, With my higher power, or just in my environment. So my question for you, when we're talking about bringing this into embodiment, right, is like, what does it feel like in your body to feel this? Okay? I'm present with where I am. I'm in acceptance and appreciation of where I am at the same time that I feel drawn to X, Y and Z.
Jenna 6:22
It feels like an exhale. It feels like trust, and it feels like an allowing. So it feels like just opening into where you are, what I also lean into because, you know, people can get in their minds a lot with this stuff. So I sometimes will question, you know, is this my mind, or is this my intuition? Or, like, Is this my nervous system, or is this my intuition? And I think that when those things come up, I I said, I'm like, okay, my intuition isn't egoic. My intuition isn't going to talk down to me or try to convince me of something. Intuition is, is felt sense. It is a receipt,
Laura 7:07
yes. So it's trust,
Jenna 7:10
exactly. So it's like feeling into that, I mean, like, Okay, this is a nervous system pull that's touching on a mind, a thought, a fractal of something that's coming into my field, and I need to let that thread release and let it arrive, if it's supposed to arrive, or this is an intuitive hit, and I want to be present in where I am and allow it to arrive as well. Either way you're allowing it to arrive, right? No matter what it is
Laura 7:37
yeah, like, just present with the energy. Yeah. It's all about just coming into presence with the energy. And I think that's one of the biggest pieces here, is, you know, you can attach this narrative around the work piece. Let's say, you know, you can, you can make it feel like it's about work. Well, I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing this. I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing that. And it's like, okay, well, come into present space with the sensation of whatever's coming forward in your body. Yeah, maybe that was activated by the mind. Maybe that was activated by the nervous system, or something that happened around you that kind of sets you off and made you think, Oh, I'm so done with this shit, or I don't want to do this anymore. This isn't meant for me. And just be in that agitated presence, right where you're just like, Okay, I'm just going to allow this, like you said, to settle, allow this thread to settle right, and just recognize it as energy, as the space between. You think it's a space between, but really, what it is is it's creation space, right? It's space for that. Whatever is really coming through you, whatever's really expanding and being shown to you to evolve. And I think that's what happens. We get into this agitated, this or that in the mind, and we attach to what that means, and but, but I do have to consider whether I get a new job, and I do have to consider and we get distracted. We get distracted from the energy actually showing us what this agitation and friction is coming up for in the first place. Because the friction is purposeful, right? The friction really, it motivates us, it gets our attention and and it calls us as a cue back into that space with ourselves. Of, okay, I'm going to exhale. I'm going to be here with this. I'm going to let the stories attach to this. Have their little dance, have their little playground, whatever they want to do, because I know they're going to settle. And I'm just going to be here with these sensations in the body. And come to holding both, which you said, feels in your body like a relaxation and exhale when you're able to say, Yeah, I am present here, and I know that I have a deeper knowing that's calling me somewhere else. The
Jenna 9:52
The fact of the matter is, your truth is alive, and you can feel that it's just as alive as we are. It is our. Uh, it's from our soul. It's from our our desire, from our creation, from what we decided before we were here. It is alive. It's just not dense, and so we remain drawn to it.
Laura 9:52
I really love that with this concept of divinely grounded and embodiment, because it's like, you know, we call it, we call it the empty chair technique in therapy, right where you are trying to figure out with someone or trying to help them with a relationship that's difficult, and you say, Okay, imagine that this person is sitting in this empty chair, and you put this chair in front of them.
Jenna 10:36
Oh, God, I hated that. I hated that.
Laura 10:39
Yes, you're welcome from the therapy world.
Jenna 10:42
Oh my God, my therapist tried to have me do that with my mother, and I was like, No, I'm not talking to her in an empty chair. Sorry. Continue.
Laura 10:48
Oh, I love this resistance that I can feel coming up in your body. Yeah, I'm immediately like, Oh, it's so pleasing to me. I love this real time alchemy. Look at this. Jesus Christ. I love that we're healing this thread for you. Jenna, thank you so much. You're so welcome. Okay, so we're present with this empty chair, and you know, you put the person in this chair, and so what you're doing is you're, you're externalizing this. You're not taking how this person is making you feel necessarily, or this the fractal of this person that exists within you. You're, you're externalizing this, and you're exchanging right? And it feels safer than this battle that happens internally. And so what you just brought up about truth is alive, and it just just expands me breathes, breathing into that and expanding me to feel that. Because it's like truth is its own vibration. Truth exists on its own accord. Right? Your truth does not belong to you, and it is something that you have the the privilege and the blessing to exchange with in this lifetime and otherwise. And so allow that truth to be this almost externalized other, and have a conversation with it. I think that's how we can bring the divine, too, into more of this embodiment and allow it to feel more like a relationship. And that's one of the things that I love about the Akashic records, right? Is that it's a place where we are developing real relationship, and we can understand what it means to start a fresh connection with somebody. Get to know how we talk, get to know how we feel each other's energy, how we banter back and forth, right? And I love coming into a relationship with the Akash, because it's in that exchange and in that space between that the alchemy happens, that the transformation happens. And so I love this about the truth, because what it does is, I think it takes some of the pressure off to kind of take it outside of you and just be like the truth exists on its own right, like let the truth inform you, move you, exchange with you, rather than you feeling like I have to execute on behalf of my truth, and I have to have clarity on it, you know, because otherwise I'm going to go down the wrong path or whatever right, and it feels like this thing that's within you that you just can't extricate so I am going to bring the empty chair into the room, and I'm putting truth into the chair.
Jenna 13:07
Oh, I like that. Yeah. Did we just alchemize something for you?
Laura 13:11
That felt really expansive.
Jenna 13:14
I feel like a lot of that is, you know, this just makes me feel like true embodiment is receipt, because you're receiving your truth, right? You're receiving all of these things. I mean, you're receiving the activation. And it's your choice. It is your choice to receive it or not, and to choose how you receive it, the pace at which you receive it, and then how you in turn, choose to act on it in little ways. Choose to feel it, choose to taste its flavor, and then how you want to embody that within yourself, within this life the next, or how you've done it in the past. It's just receipt. Embodiment is receipt every single time.
Laura 13:53
So would it be accurate to say that receiving is really the deciding factor, deciding to receive. Because if embodiment is receipt, then I need to be intentional about receiving and not just receiving in the mind and in my understanding, not just receiving in my heart and in all that feels really good, and I got the warm and fuzzies. It's receiving all the way down to the root space, all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Jenna 14:25
and that's the consciousness part.
Laura 14:27
Correct. Like receiving into every single cell. Because this is what happens where I see a lot of people are not divinely grounded, who are very well intentioned and on the spiritual path for years and years and years, and still feel like they're going in circles, or they can't see the results, or they're not really getting it fully. They can't see things clearly. They're not hearing anything. They're not really receiving anything tangible from the divine in terms of, you know, a concrete understanding. And it's like, Well, how am I. Are you bouncing around trying to find that piece of wisdom or that understanding that you're looking for, those answers that you think you need answered, rather than soaking in the energetic relationship and presence with the divine, allowing yourself to become the divine, letting the divine become you, coming into that oneness, that unity, because that's the space from which we lead as divine beings on this planet. That's where we are in full embodiment. People can do none of this other spiritual work that you know the modern spiritual world is talking about with the Emotion Code and quantum healing, and even the Akashic records and Theta Healing and all of these things. They can literally sit in quiet presence with the higher power of their understanding and little patience. They'll they'll get there that it's, it's literally that simple.
Jenna 15:57
It feels like that's how it starts. And I think that we've tend to forget that that's how it starts. Is just being an open receipt, not trying to receive through a specific method or modality. It's It's letting go of how you think you need to receive something to make it mean you know that you're, I don't know embodied, that you're divine, that you're that you're grounded, that you're whatever
Laura 16:21
I was talking to a client about that this morning, really I was because we were talking about her embodiment, and how she's stepping into this greater claiming of herself as a light leader, and recognizing that we sometimes were Meant to dip our toe in in a certain 3d context. Sometimes we're meant to partially embody that, or partially take action there, and sometimes we're meant to go full force. And I think that it's beautiful because we get to taste these things with the divine, but recognize that as we receive, these seeds are going to grow on their own accord. These seeds are going to grow on their own and that we it's, it's not for us to then attach, like you said, to this, like, Well, okay, I it needs to come in in this form, and that's how I'm going to know that it's working. And it's like, well, what if it's all working? Right? It's all working, because if you're letting yourself be led, then I'm going to be led to dip in my toe, and then I'm also going to be led to remove it and but, but that experience was something that brought through a texture to refine my discernment, to refine what is for my mission and what is not, and sometimes we are meant to taste that intangible form. And so I think it's recognizing that, like as I dip my toe in there, I now have, now I know, have a different texture and a different refinement to enter into the next place that maybe I'm meant to jump in, into my waist, right? And maybe I'm meant to soak there for a little bit. Maybe I'm not just dipping in, but I'm soaking there for a little bit, so that that pace piece you brought up earlier is important too. Like sometimes you're meant to sit in something for a little bit, and sometimes that thing you're sitting in isn't fully comfortable, but you also know you were led there, and as you stay in in presence with it, you're going to know when it's time to step out, and
Jenna 18:21
I feel like our greatest expansions aren't going to be comfortable. I mean, it can be expansion can be comfortable. I mean, you can choose that frequency, obviously, but when it comes in to the human and the nervous system, I mean, it's not going to be the most comforting thing in the world, and we want to welcome that regardless. And that's part of the embodiment too, is being comfortable with the uncomfortable pieces and allowing them to exist and expand us. Because I don't want to be in a place that that holds my cycles, you know what I mean? Like, I don't want to be in a space that nurtures my cycles or nurtures my patterns. I want to be in a place that that nurtures me and brings them up to be seen and then alchemized, right?
Laura 19:02
Yeah, I love that you brought up this concept of becoming comfortable or accepting of the discomfort of expansion, because this is right where people run away with the narrative, because it comes in as a thought of for instance, using your work example, it's like, okay, well, you just got a job offer from this place or that place, and that means that you're supposed to move in that direction. Oh, does that mean that that me being in this and continuing to cultivate is wrong, right? Or, oh my gosh, my boss just gave me bad feedback. And so does that mean that? And it's almost like your nervous system is looking for evidence of which direction you're going to go. And you don't do this on purpose, right? You don't do this consciously, but it's like, you then get activated, and then it leads all of these things seem like signs that make you question shit, whereas it's like, just recognize it's an energetic activation. And when you enter into expansion, it's always more spaciousness. And nervous systems desire to tether to comfort. That's how they're initially wired, from way back when we were cavemen, right? And we understand that entering into a space that is larger and more seemingly not in our control, right? We our nervous system start to freak out, and they choose topics that they know are going to garner our attention. So it'll choose things like, you know, if you happen to be focusing on work, if you happen to be focusing on a relationship, if you happen to be focusing on your health, and it'll bring in a narrative, and if you get attached to that narrative, and it runs away, rather than being like, Okay, I see what's happening right now, my nervous system is just spinning. It's creating a story in my mind. Story in my mind. Let me just be present with this spinning and then see if this narrative is even worth my attention. I love that this feels really complete for today. How do you feel? Is there anything else coming up for you? No, I feel good that this was delicious. Let us know in the comments or the show notes, if there is anything that is coming forward for you in terms of questions or areas that you struggle with seeing things from higher perspective, because it's like Jenna said earlier, we can get lost in the human sauce, and we can get very sucked in to this day to day slog. Sometimes it doesn't even feel like a slog, right? But it can feel like a tunnel vision kind of situation where it's like you're going from this thing to that thing, from this thing to that thing, and and seeing things from a higher perspective when you're moving and grooving throughout your day, can feel like it's an impossible task. And our goal with this podcast is to show you that it's not and that you can integrate it further and further, little by little, one decision at a time, one step at a time as you move through your life. So thank you for being here.
