Welcome to episode five of divinely grounded. So we are here today to discuss a little mind stuff. This came forward to me this morning, and I was thinking about things that come into our minds, that we ruminate on, things that are and when I thought about this, it was more mundane shit, but it's things that come into our mind that we play out in our heads, and it's at what point do we decide to bring these out and embody them? Because when they sit in our minds, they come to this state of completion, almost, and we feel energetically as if we have done them. So then I think that that kind of stifles us in a way, to not bring them into embodiment and into our current and present reality. What do you think?
Laura 01:53
So like you're not taking action on something, not because you're sabotaging yourself, but because it feels like it's already done, because you've gone over it in your head, right? So give an example of this.
Jenna 02:05
So when I was thinking about this, I was thinking about, like, training my dog, or I was thinking about working out more, taking care of my body in a different way, and I'll go over how I do it, and I'll go through all the steps in my head, and then I come out of it. I'm like, Okay, I did it, and then I don't actually do it. And I feel like, for me, when it's those type of things, not necessarily like big actions and and bigger decisions that we think about, but just like little tweaks to our daily life, those type of things, I feel like it perpetuates laziness in myself, and it's like, at what point do I pull that out of my mind and pull that into my body to where it doesn't feel complete because I'm just constantly thinking about it, it feels complete because I'm actually doing it
Laura 03:01
right. And how do you tell the difference between what you're meant to come into embodiment with and what is really just meant to be like an internal exercise? Because we're not meant to follow through on absolutely everything that comes into our minds and absolutely everything that we ruminate about, even if it's repetitive, right? And sometimes we're meant to kind of taste things a little bit. Sometimes we're meant to go full meant to go full force, right? We've talked about that, but I think it's important to understand, how can you tell when it's something that you're kind of holding yourself back from, or whether it's something that you're really meant to step forward into?
Jenna 03:38
Well, one, I think it's consistency. And I know you just mentioned that. You know, a lot of things can be consistent. Can be consistent, and we don't always act on them, even when, when they're consistent, but I think that there's like a level of frustration in there when it's like you want to see this in in your daily life, and it's just like something is something within you, whether it's like a subconscious tick or something is keeping you from actualizing these things as keeping you from doing them right?
Laura 04:06
So for me, what I do there is I'll do a couple things. One, if I get to that point of frustration, that typically shows me that I'm out of alignment with my energy. So I'm either judging myself for not doing it, or I am really being motivated through dissonance to actually take action on this. And so I think that the clarity there comes through through either asking myself, What is feeling like the highest delivery of my soul's expression right now, and sometimes that question will will answer itself, because it really allows me to prioritize, because although this thing may be important to me and it's something I want to get done, what I'm realizing is that it might not be as important as something else My soul is drawing me toward, even though I think this is something that achieves a goal that I think is appropriate. My soul might have better guidance on that. It does have better guidance on that. And so sometimes it'll inform me that way, or I will go into my favorite, deepest fear journal prompt that says, like, I absolutely refuse to work out on a regular basis because I have a deep fear that because, and then I just free write until I get to a point that it feels complete, or I get to an aha moment, or a recognition that there's something within me that is clearly kind of getting in the way of moving forward with this in action. But if nothing really comes of that, it can also show me within that practice that there might be energy there that's not mine, because we talk about this as well around any sticky energy that we have, emotionally, that we have trouble moving through, that we've tried all the practices and everything, and it's just not freaking resolving. And it's like, well, usually that's because that energy isn't even yours. So are there narratives? Are there their energies or threads that are sticky within you that are interfering with moving forward that have nothing to do with you.
Jenna 06:05
I like that practice of bringing the DFI into this too, because that kind of sheds all the layers of it and leaves you Really rawly With just the energy of of what you've been reeling right
Laura 06:22
absolutely.
Jenna 06:22
And it lets you see one way or the other where you want to go
Laura 06:26
Yeah, and it’s so interesting too, because, I mean, I love that practice. It's so helpful. And it'll also give you clarity too, if you're it gives you clarity if you're not in your way. It gives you clarity if you are in your way, right? But I also think that there's something to be said about there's a reason why things are delayed sometimes, and we don't realize that in the moment, but we realize it later, and it's like, oh, okay, I didn't follow through on this because I realized that, like, for instance, recording my YouTube ad, right? It took me a goddamn year to record that ad. It was on my my schedule. For how long was there a part of me kicking the can down the road there? Yeah, I think probably. But I can also see how the evolution of what I ended up putting out was so much better, so much more refined, so much more focused and different and potent now when I put it out there, versus when I would have done it before, and that doesn't mean that I still couldn't have done it before, maybe a little bit messier or in a different way, but it's like, we don't want to always fall back on divine timing. Well, it's going to come out when it's meant, you know, or this was the right time. And, yeah, there is right timing, but there's also choice. There's also deciding this, this is the time. I'm deciding this is the time. And when you do that, you kind of find out how far you're meant to go with it once you start moving with it. So how do you discern between those two? Like the divine timing piece is like, yeah, okay, I recognize that there were aspects of me not signing my dog up to be trained, yet that actually served me deeper than if I had gotten my dog trained, right? So, yeah, that served you. But yet you still feel like there was a part of you that was not making choice.
Jenna 08:15
Yeah, I mean, I think that there was an aspect Absolutely, like you said, of like kicking the can down the road with that 100% there was but there was also deeper purpose in it. And I'm glad that I, I did do it that way. So it's interesting, because it's this concept of readiness, right? And I feel like you're never going to I don't think there's a there's such a thing as readiness. I don't think there's ever going to be a right time. There's just resonance. And I think that whenever you get to that point of of alignment, it's trusting, it's alignment.
Laura 08:51
I really like that, because what you're doing is you're highlighting here that, like it's not just about, you know, having this run around in your mind. It's at the same time being in tune with the resonance and the energy, because the energy that is moving through you to guide you, to train your dog, to guide me, to do my YouTube ad, to guide me, to work out whatever it is is its own energy. It has its own frequency and vibration. Sometimes I'm going to need to attune to that in my body, mind and energy field to be able to hold it's like preparing me. We call it imaginal exposure in the therapy world, which is like we go over something over and over again in our heads to kind of acclimate us to this. This is what we do to reprogram the subconscious mind with visualization, right? Like we visualize things, the subconscious mind can't tell the difference between imagination and reality, and so if we are repeatedly doing something and committing to a visualization, our subconscious mind is going to start visualizing that as reality and understanding that as our reality, whether you want a house with a white picket fence or, you know, you're just a happy little snuggly place in the mountains. It's recognizing that it's not just the repetition in the mind, but also the energetic resonance you're talking about, like remaining in tune with that energy itself that's coming through, that has its own frequency, and sometimes that frequency is going to say, You know what, I'm complete spending time in your mind and preparing your field for actually what's going to be delivered next. But you're going to feel a little bit of a restlessness if that energy comes in, and it might feel complete in the mind, but then it's like, okay, there's still an edge here. There's still something I want to do here, like it's still itchy. It still wants to be executed in a bigger form, and when you're in resonance and you can feel the drive of that energy, then you'll move on it. Because the fact is, you're talking about stuff that, like you said, are not the bigger decisions. It's like the little shit that comes into our day to day. And that's the important piece, is being in resonance space with those things, because those are the building blocks. Those are the building blocks that help refine our discernment.
Jenna 11:04
I like how you call them building blocks, because it is and it's building. It's building to greater creation. It's building to attuning to your highest self, your highest timeline, right? Because as you actualize these little, small things, and you start to taste resonance, and you start to allow yourself to be led by resonance, as opposed to mind shit or narrative, allow yourself to be led by resonance, and then that will guide you into quick actualization. Not that we want it to be quick, but it's, it's quicker.
Laura 11:11
It is quicker.
Jenna 11:46
yeah, and it's, it's more, it's pure, and it's more aligned to truth, in my opinion. So all these little things, yeah, it's, it's all those little things that will lead you to feeling the resonance of the bigger things, and being able to feel the resonance of the bigger things as resonance and not question them. Because you've built up your embodiment. You've built up the self trust in what you feel and what you know.
Laura 12:18
I love that so much. It's like practicing self trust. It's like intuitive muscle, yeah? I really like that, yeah.
Jenna 12:27
And it's easier that way, because, I mean, you're practicing on little shit that, in theory, would have less disruption, right? Than than bigger things, than bigger actions and bolder actions?
Laura 12:41
I agree. And I also think that it's like as you take the action in a certain area, and this even goes for people who take, like, everything that comes into their head and put it into action that could feel really messy and look really messy, but who gives a shit? Because at the end of the day, if you're still in connection with resonance, you're still going to feel and taste, whether that's something you stick with, whether that like you're still in connection with does this resonate? Is this moving me forward? Is this all I cracked it up to be in my head, right? Like, does this taste right? Because the fact is, is that even taking those steps may be aligned for a certain soul, there are certain souls who are meant to be more experimental in the tangible, and they're meant to kind of like, like, if you look at human design, for any of you that look at human design, and if you don't know human design, go to my bodygraph.com, and put in your birth date, your birth time and your birth location, and click on the different elements and learn about yourself. It can be a little confusing, so let us know if you need help. But it's great, because what it does is it shows you what your energetic blueprint, like the design of your energy, particularly in this lifetime, was meant to be. And so some people within that are meant to just have all these little strings come through and try them all out. They're like the experimenters. They're like the taste testers. And some people are meant to cultivate more of this energy and do more of this internal preparation that Jenna is talking about, to be able to to know when to take action and to take the bigger steps. And so it really does depend on your design as well and your emotional style. And so I don't there's nothing, there's nothing wrong with you doing it one way or the other. So I think that the piece here is the resonance you're talking about, Jenna, because when that's in place, regardless of your design, you're going to be able to taste,
Jenna 14:32
yeah, and like, regardless of your decision, right? Because there's no right decision. And if you choose something that's quote, unquote wrong for you, you'll feel it, you'll feel the dissonance in it, and you'll be like, Okay, well, that wasn't, I mean, they're not quite ready for that, quote, unquote, ready for that yet. Or maybe that's just not the way I was meant to go. And I can just, you know, go a different way. Like it's that simple. Like you don't have to throw, like, all your eggs in one basket just because you're making choice. Yes,
Laura 15:00
yeah. Like, make it more playful. It's not like you're, you know, you're signing your name in blood, and this is like a binding contract until the day that you die and be exactly, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, keep it a little lighter and just play with different shit and different options.
Jenna 15:16
Yeah, you're allowed to do what you want.
Laura 15:19
I also say, like, what if you asked yourself, you know, what if i What if there's nothing wrong with me for not following through with working out right now? What if there's nothing wrong with the fact that I haven't decided to train my dog yet? What if there's nothing wrong with it? How would I feel? Then it's like Byron Katie. You can download her worksheets at the work.com she has free downloads. They're freaking helpful, so helpful and fabulous to help, like, shift some of this mind stuff. So it's like, how does this thought make me feel? Is this thought 100% accurate with 100% certainty? Can I prove this with 100% certainty that this is true, that I am a sabotaging motherfucker because I haven't trained my dog, right? And it's like, no, I don't have evidence that that's 100% true. Okay, so how does it make you feel to think that thought, and who are you without that thought? So it's also remembering that your inherent state of being is not attached to this whether you follow through on this action or not, and a lot of times, just that question itself can lighten your energy in your field, and the pressure so much from like the judgment and the I have to because I got to prove myself to myself, or I would need to be a responsible human being, or whatever it is. And it's just like, it's just a thought, and I'm somebody who is invested in and devoted to coming into presence with my resonance. And I am never in a place where I'm not in motion. I'm always in motion. And sometimes, when I follow that resonance, well, all the time, when I follow that resonance, I'm going to recognize where my field and or my soul prioritizes my momentum at the time, and it may feel to me like but I have been had this on my list for a damn year, and it's like, yeah, and you were meant to do this instead, and you were meant to do that instead,
Jenna 17:13
and it's not beating yourself up for having different priorities and putting them in different places, correct, especially when You get to the place when you finally do the thing that you had wanted to do a year ago and not looking back, oh shit. Why did I take so long to do this?
Laura 17:28
Yeah and I think if it's something that's up for that really exciting for you, you're gonna fucking follow through. Could we be real about this? Like, if you're really fucking excited about something, you're gonna do something about it. You're gonna take a step in that direction. So it's obviously not blowing your skirt up that much, because otherwise you just go, fucking do it, right? So it's like, also trust yourself. Like, trust that. Like, if it is that mind blowingly phenomenal, you're gonna you're not gonna ignore it. So take some pressure off of yourselves and come into this, this resonance space, knowing that like the the activity of the mind and the activity the imaginal process is is powerful and and alchemical in itself, and that if you're somebody who's not taking any action at all, then that's something to come into space with, maybe do that deepest fear inventory, the DFI that we talked about earlier, like, I absolutely refuse to do whatever it is you want to do. Fill that in in the blank, because I have a deep fear that and write, write, write and see and recognize this. This might not even be yours. So take yourself into that. But between these skills that we offered you today, you will, you will take action in some area that you didn't realize you were ready for, or being nudged into or sitting on, and we would love to hear your feedback in the comments to let us know where this is showing up for you and how you've perceived it and taken action from this space. So thank you so much for being here, and thank you, Jenna, for bringing this forward.
Jenna 19:03
I'm gonna go fuck with my website.
Laura 19:05
All right. Great. Get it done. See on the next episode, friends.
